The International Quilt Festival is almost here…only 3 more days. I bought my tickets on-line because it is so much quicker to get into the door and start shopping for quilts and quilting supplies. Each year I’m always surprised at the different ways that quilting can be used as an art form. I love the Civil War era quilts. The attention to detail is fabulous. These quilts seem to be very functional and appropriate for the time period. I’m not into the beading on quilts but find it interesting to view on other people’s quilts. The miniature quilts always catch my eye…as if the size means less work J. I think that I’d be able to take the quilting pieces with me and do a little quilting while I’m waiting at the doctor’s office or waiting on someone to show a house. Maybe a miniature quilt kit will be my new purchase this year….
